Somebody tell me, how are they selling any Christmas decorations at all anymore? Surely everybody in the world already has five sets of ornaments stacked up to the ceiling in their attic or hall closet by now. But the stores are always filled with mountains of them.

Since when have you known Americans to stop buying things once they already have what they need?

It's called Collector Value (tm)!

A: there are people who throw 'em out with the tree. I've seen it.
B: there are people who buy new ones every few years to do a new 'theme'.
C: there are people (myself included) who will buy new one-or-two-off ornaments to match other stuff on the tree.

I buy christmas lights because we use them year round to decorate our place, but yeah, boring ass glass ornaments, I have no idea why anyone buys them anymore.

Because occassionally I'll enjoy myself and break all the old ornaments in a trash can in the garage, one by one by one.
