Hurry up and conquer the world, time and space so my wish can come true!

I don’t have enough friends to make this work. Protocat was both my capable first mate, and the naval officer who ruthlessly pursues my ship. Oh the intrigue.

No mercy for spies!

Hi

I friendzored you. :) Pick which of my dumb, rarely used filters you'd like to read, if that sort of thing appeals to you.

I friended you back... but I don't know what these opt-in filters are or how they are used.

Although I love all kinds of nautical nonsense, I was a little disappointed with this quiz. And it did some weird thing and changed my answers in the HTML dump, I dunno. I wish it let me enter "Greenland" as my secret pirate base. :(

I'm still laughing over Marc Bolan. I live in Marc Bolan and T.Rex headquarters, thanks to my sister. I TOTALLY missed that reference when I first took this quiz. :D

heh, sorry if this is weird, but. my dad is listed as one of your interests. that's all.

[identity profile] prickvixen.livejournal.com 2005-07-01 07:17 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm. Your father's James Doolin, the artist? The one who does Los Angeles cityscapes?

[identity profile] flow-morphia.livejournal.com 2005-07-01 07:56 am (UTC)(link)
yeah, he is.

(hi, i'm eve doolin, by the way)

Hmm, no kidding? Nice to meet you. :)

I really like his work... after his show came to San Jose a few years ago, I looked around for a book, but there was just the exhibition catalog. The photos don't really capture the luminosity of the paintings, but I wanted something to keep.

i think that museum ended up buying one of the paintings in that show. anyway, it's cool that people on livejournal know who my dad is (or was i guess..?) nice to meet you too : ] .

Yeah, I checked around on Google after that last post to see if he'd put out a book since then, and was shocked to learn that he'd died not long after the exhibition... I'm sorry to hear it.
