(no subject)

I had a dream in which I was hanging out in a hotel with Raoul Duke and Dr. Gonzo. They ditched me.

Then I dreamed I was hanging out in the same hotel with my mother and father. They ditched me, too.

This is not about me.

Gotta love how 1523 people represent all 250 million Americans.

I wish they would indicate how random 'random' is. Are they surveying everybody, or just affluent people who are likely to own these things? A link to whatever MIT site records the results would be nice, but CNN doesn't generally link to external sites anymore (other than business partners)... I guess that would encourage too much thought. This is just a big ad for the consumer electronics industry, and you're just supposed to see how useful these things are and go buy them. It's not as blatant an ad as when they spotlight some consumer item and call it 'news,' but it's along those lines.

Note that this was a telephone survey; the individuals CNN is quoting must have been independent of that, since they were pegged in person.
