can't win

A lot of metal bands put out vinyl-only EPs these days, and I'm like, c'mon, do a CD version, I can't afford a turntable! But what's amusing is that years ago I had exactly the opposite problem. I had a turntable, everybody had a turntable, and stuff is coming out on compact disc and I can't afford a CD player. Have I always been a loser?

I think some of it is distribution contracts. I'm having a heck of a time finding CDs of some of the electronic artists, but they can ship me vinyls! Ugh.

Might be. I think there are two different threads going on: music put out on vinyl for use by DJs using a traditional setup, and music on vinyl because of the current resurgence of interest in vinyl's particular sound qualities.

(Thanks for introducing me to Kavinsky, by the way. I have passed it on to other people who have been quite appreciative.) :)

Just the same if you put your interest into music long after been its peak period has been gone, but as the peak period was you refused to even touch it.
Strange as habits sometimes can go.

Aw man I'm sorry. I know it is a smallish thing but still a bummer. Can you find a turntable on Craigslist?

You aren't a loser. <3

I'm not that agitated about it. n.n To be honest, I don't really have room for stereo equipment, and it's just a few releases I'm interested in. I'm not unconvinced that I'm a loser, however, even if I was saying that for comedic effect. n.n;
